Positie 4 in de poule met 38 punten uit 22 wedstrijden (11 winst, 5 gelijk, 6 verlies, doelsaldo 46-37). ## Het seizoen Bijgewerkt op 1 juli 2026. Were Di D1 sluit het seizoen af als vierde in Poule A van de Promotieklasse — een eindstand die het seizoen redelijk goed samenvat: solide, maar zonder de scherpte bovenin die nodig is om mee te doen aan de directe plaatsen. In de aanloop naar de slotronde toonde de ploeg van coaches Eric van der Pol en Joep van der Coelen haar beste vorm. Vier opeenvolgende zeges — op Groningen D1, Victoria D1, Breda D1 en Leonidas D1 — gaven het seizoen een opwaartse afronding. Alleen de allerlaatste speelronde, uit bij Ring Pass D1, leverde een 3-2 verlies op. Te laat om de eindstand nog te beïnvloeden, maar onvoldoende om het beeld van een goed gesloten reguliere competitie te verstoren. ## Wisselend jaar, sterk slot Het seizoen als geheel kende twee gezichten. Aanvallend deed Were Di mee: 46 doelpunten in 22 wedstrijden is een gezond gemiddelde voor dit niveau. Defensief waren er momenten waarop de ploeg haar beste kant niet liet zien — de 5-1 thuisnederlaag tegen HIC D1 in april bleef steken als één van de mindere dagen. Dat dezelfde tegenstander in oktober ook nog eens met 6-1 verslagen werd, tekent het patroon: Were Di kan klappen uitdelen, maar ook kasseren. Het gat naar koploper Victoria D1 was uiteindelijk te groot om nog te overbruggen. Voor de volgende jaargang is de basis er — de coachingsstaf staat, de slotreeks bewijst dat de ploeg kan pieken.
