Het seizoen van Leeuwarden D1 loopt ten einde met 22 wedstrijden op de teller. De eindbalans — zeven zeges, vier gelijke spelen en elf nederlagen — tekent een ploeg die zich door de competitie heen vocht zonder echt aan te haken bij de bovenkant van de poule. Met 32 punten minder dan koploper Castricum D1 was het al vroeg duidelijk dat de titelstrijd geen zaak voor Leeuwarden zou zijn.
