Het seizoen van Bennebroek D1 in de Tweede klasse laat een helder beeld achter: van de 22 wedstrijden eindigden er veertien in een verlies, met een doelsaldo dat flink in de min staat. De ploeg leverde desondanks een gevarieerd slotakkoord — de laatste vijf duels bevatten twee zeges, een gelijkspel en twee nederlagen, waarbij de stijlen ver uit elkaar lagen. De 6-0 thuis tegen Castricum was de zwaarste avond van het seizoen; een week later trok Bennebroek op bezoek bij Catwyck de winst over de streep met 1-2. Dat contrast typeert het seizoen: de resultaten wisselden, maar de reactie op een tegenvaller was er wel.
