De titel was al een mathematisch feit voordat de slotfase aanbrak: met elf punten voorsprong op de nummer twee was de stand niet meer in te halen. De weg ernaartoe liep via een indrukwekkende ongeslagen reeks van elf duels. In de slotfase bleef Alecto onwrikbaar: zeges op Weesp en Overbos — de laatste met 7-0 — zorgden voor een comfortabele aanloop naar het einde. De remises tegen Qui Vive en Alphen lieten zien dat niet elke wedstrijd over was bij de eerste fluittoon, maar voor de eindstand maakte het niet meer uit. De thuiszege op Hoorn op de laatste speeldag, 4-3, zette een punt achter een seizoen dat stabiel van begin tot eind verliep.
