Een moeizame eerste helft, met een puntensaldo dat richting de onderste regionen duwde, en een slotfase die beduidend beter smaakte. De ploeg sloot de competitie af met vijf duels zonder verlies — twee remises en drie zeges, waaronder een knappe 2-5 bij Hoorn en een thuisoverwinning op Alliance in de allerlaatste wedstrijd. De cijfers tekenen het bredere beeld: 48 doelpunten voor staat tegenover 62 tegen, en de reeks vroege tegenslagen was te groot om definitief goed te maken. Positie negen is het eerlijke eindresultaat van een seizoen met te veel ingeleverde punten in de eerste helft, afgezet tegen een ploeg die aan het eind van de rit gewoon haar duels won. De opleving in mei en juni geeft wel iets om op voort te bouwen.
