Positie 11 in de poule met 17 punten uit 22 wedstrijden (4 winst, 5 gelijk, 13 verlies, doelsaldo 30-54). ## Het seizoen Bijgewerkt op 1 juli 2026. Het seizoen begon al met een stevige uitdaging voor Hockeyclub Groningen. Groningen hoort traditiegetrouw tot de middenmoot in de Promotieklasse, maar de lat lag dit jaar hoger door twee pijnlijke vertrekken: Floks van der Beek, goed voor zeven doelpunten vorig seizoen, trok naar Bloemendaal in de Hoofdklasse, en ook Evaline Janssen (vijf doelpunten) verliet de club. Dat gat opvullen bleek lastig. De tweede seizoenshelft bracht wat soelaas — tijdens de winterstop sloten Puck Winter en Kathelijne Knuttel aan om het team te versterken. Winter speelde eerder bij SCHC en werd geselecteerd voor Nederlands B. Toch vertaalde die aanvulling zich niet in een structurele ommekeer in de resultaten. De slotfase van de competitie laat een wisselend beeld zien. De laatste weken wisselden zeges en puntverlies elkaar af: een thuisoverwinning op Push D1 (3-2) en de winst op Leonidas D1 (2-0) waren de lichtpuntjes, maar het seizoen eindigde op zaterdag 23 mei met een gelijkspel bij HBS D1 (2-2). Over de volledige 22 wedstrijden wogen de dertiende verliespartijen zwaarder dan de vier zeges. Het doelsaldo spreekt voor zich: de verdediging slikte opvallend veel meer dan de aanval produceerde.
