Na 22 wedstrijden staat het seizoen van Saxenburg D1 in de boeken. Het was een zwaar jaar in de Derde klasse Poule B, met achttien nederlagen en een doelsaldo dat de moeite van het analyseren nauwelijks waard is. De defensie incasseerde ver over de zestig, terwijl de aanval amper een kwart van dat aantal produceerde. Toch eindigde het seizoen niet zonder lichtpuntjes. De laatste drie duels vóór de slotrondes leverden drie overwinningen op rij op — thuis van Heerhugowaard, gevolgd door een zege in Hilversum en een thuiswinst op Hoorn. Dat was de beste aaneengesloten reeks van het seizoen. De afsluitende twee wedstrijden pakten anders uit: een ruime uitnederlaag bij Kraaien en vervolgens een thuisnederlaag tegen Hisalis zorgden voor een minder fraaie aftrap. De eindstand van tien is het eindpunt van wat een moeilijk jaar was.
