Positie 6 in de poule met 22 punten uit 22 wedstrijden (6 winst, 4 gelijk, 12 verlies, doelsaldo 35-56). ## Het seizoen Bijgewerkt op 1 juli 2026. Het seizoen van HGC in de Hoofdklasse liet zich het best omschrijven als overleven op karakter. Lange tijd lag de druk van degradatie als een schaduw over De Roggewoning: de verdediging liep te veel doelpunten tegen en de resultaten wisselden te grillig om rust te vinden in de stand. De laatste weken lieten een andere ploeg zien. Achtereenvolgens werden HDM en Bloemendaal thuis verslagen — en juist die twee thuiszeges gaven lucht op het moment dat het er het meest op aankwam. Het verlies bij SCHC werd in één klap uitgewist door de winst op Pinoké op de slotdag: 1-0 in Wassenaar, genoeg om de zesde plek te bezegelen en het Hoofdklasse-voetbal voor volgend seizoen te garanderen. ## Coach Bas Bogaard, die twee seizoenen aan het roer stond en daarnaast actief was als assistent bij Jong Oranje Dames, vertrekt na dit seizoen. HGC heeft zijn opvolger al gevonden in Wouter Tazelaar, een coach met Hoofdklasse-ervaring bij onder meer Kampong en HDM.
