Het seizoen van Waalwijk D1 kende een moeilijk verloop. In 22 wedstrijden werden vijf remises bij elkaar gespeeld; een overwinning bleef de gehele competitie uit. Dat tekent het beeld: dit was een jaar overleven in de Tweede klasse, waarbij de ploeg voortdurend op zoek was naar een eerste zege die niet kwam. De slotfase maakte de balans er niet fraai op. De laatste acht duels gingen allemaal verloren, met scherpe uitcijfers zoals de 8-1 bij Liberty en de 5-0 op bezoek bij zowel Ommoord als Pijnacker. De aanval produceerde dit seizoen in totaal elf doelpunten — gemiddeld één op twee duels — terwijl er achterin regelmatig flink gescoord werd. De grootste tegenvaller was de 8-0 thuisnederlaag op 29 maart tegen Ypenburg D1. Toch is het seizoenspatroon niet één van geleidelijk afglijden. De trend wordt als stabiel omschreven, wat erop wijst dat het niveau van de ploeg door het seizoen heen consistent was — zij het consequent aan de onderkant van de poule. De vijf remises zijn daarmee het meest tastbare bewijs dat er ook wedstrijden waren waarbij punten binnen handbereik kwamen.
