Tien zeges op rij aan het einde van de competitie — het is een cijfer dat voor zich spreekt. Gooische D1 sluit het seizoen af als onbetwist kampioen van de Overgangsklasse Poule A, met een voorsprong van acht punten op Klein Zwitserland D1 en nul wedstrijden te gaan. De titel was dus al enige tijd een kwestie van wanneer, niet van of. Opmerkelijk is de consistentie: slechts twee nederlagen in 22 wedstrijden, waarvan er één al vroeg in het seizoen viel.
