Het seizoen van Goes D1 in de Vierde klasse Poule E is er een om snel achter je te laten. Eén zege — een 2-1 op Rapide D1 vroeg in het seizoen — en twee remises waren het maximale dat de ploeg uit Zeeland bij elkaar speelde. Daarna volgde een lange, pijnlijke slotfase. ## Negen zonder punt De negenreeks aan het einde van het seizoen vertelt het verhaal het duidelijkst. De slotmaanden brachten geen enkel punt meer op. Het dieptepunt viel op 17 mei, met een 10-0 verlies bij Pelikaan D1 — de grootste van het jaar. De 4-0 bij DDHC D1 was het laatste duel, en ook dat bood geen troost. Het doelsaldo — achttien keer scoren tegenover tachtig tegentreffers — laat zien dat de problemen aan beide kanten van het veld lagen, maar dat het verdedigend het hardst heeft toegeslagen. De competitie is gespeeld; de balans is nuchter.
