Rapid D1 eindigde het seizoen in de Derde klasse Poule A als ongeslagen kampioen. Dat is de simpele samenvatting van een reeks die het hele jaar standhield. ## Aanval als speerpunt Wat dit seizoen opvalt in de cijfers is de scheve doelpuntenverhouding: de aanval produceerde ruim zeven keer zoveel doelpunten als de verdediging er tegen incasseerde. De 9-1 op 31 mei tegen Made D1 was het duidelijkste voorbeeld, maar ook de 8-0 tegen Spijkenisse D1 twee weken eerder liet zien dat de scoringsdrang niet afnam naarmate het seizoen op zijn einde liep. Zelfs de afsluitende thuiswedstrijd tegen Rijswijk D1 — die op de ranglijst de naaste belager was met één punt achterstand — werd gewonnen met 2-1.
