Een seizoen van 22 wedstrijden heeft IJburg D1 neergezet als een van de meest productieve ploegen in de poule. Met 56 doelpunten voor en slechts 20 tegen is het aanval-verdediging-saldo een van de opvallendste in de reeks — al laten de cijfers ook zien dat de ploeg stabiel heeft gepresteerd zonder grote pieken of diepe inzinkingen. De slotfase van het seizoen vertelt een beknopt maar veelzeggend verhaal. Na drie opeenvolgende zeges — waaronder een 1-5 bij Kraaien D1, de grootste overwinning van het seizoen — strooide een uitremise tegen Alliance en een thuisnederlaag tegen Kikkers zand in de machine. De koploper bleek net iets te ver weg om nog te naderen: het gat is te groot voor de resterende wedstrijd. De seizoensvraag is dan ook al beantwoord.
